* Power Seeding -  also called slit seeding. using a machine that cuts  the soil with discs, then  drops seed into the slits. This process is much more likely to get the grass seed into direct contact with the soil,and increasing the germination rate of the seed and giving better results.

Lawn Mowing and Lawn Care Tips

Mow the grass taller and more frequently
 Cutting the lawn shorter & less often seems like a time saver, but you coyld be doing damage to your turf. Mowing taller makes for healthier grass and makes it harder for weeds to grow. Mow often enough to where you only trim about 1/3 of the grass height with each cutting. Cutting more than thta can cause the grass to discolor and puts a strain on the turf.  
Sharpen mower blades more often
Duller mower blades tear the grass instead of cutting it, making the yard look ragged and uneven. The tips of the grass baldes turn brown & the grass is more likely to go dormant in hot dry weather. Mowing with sharper mower blades makesthe grass grow more evenly. If the top of the lawn starts to turn brownish gray color a couple of days after mowing, it is time to sharpen your mower blades  Water the grass early in the day
It is best to water the grass during the cooler part of the day. This is more effecient because there is less evaporation and more of the water gets to the roots of the grass. Avoid watering late in the evening. The grass is more likeley to stay wet overnight, leaving the lawn more susceptable to fungus & disease.  
Fetilize the Lawn
fertilizing is a good way to green up a lawn quickly and is important for maintaining a healthy lawn. Before the heat of summer and early in the fall are good times for fertilizer. Follow instructions on the packaging, too much fertilizer is worse than no fertilizer at all   Aerate & Overseed in the fall
